I recently bought a second hand lathe with no experience on how to use it. I enrolled for a one day course with Andy which was both enjoyable and informative. I came home with my first bowl and also an apple made by Andy as I watched, most importantly I came back with enthusiasm to use the lathe as well as the confidence that so long as I remember what I have been taught I can use it safely.
