The First Cut........................

Hi everyone! This is the first chance I have had to publish my new website www.hampshirewoodturning.co.uk!

This is a new venture for me delving into the world of teaching woodturning after about 10 years of doing my own thing! Over the weeks, I hope I will enlighten you as to what I have been up to, teaching turning and also anything else that involves wood, lathes and gouges. The last couple of weeks I have been renovating my latest lathe - an ex-display short bed VB36 which will soon be available for lessons. I have also been devloping a unique turntable to fit it (I have already made one for my short bed Graduate) and it is now fitted, painted and seems to work as I intended.

There have been a couple of students the last couple of week who have totally enjoyed their day so thanks to Melanie and Howard, and also to Leo who had a bit of a refresher course over two days. I am available for bookings throughout the year (including weekends) so please do not hesitate to give me a ring and book your half/full day woodturning lesson tailored to YOUR requirements using British made lethes and using local New Forest wood (when I can get my hands on it).
